Where did the day go? You may have wondered that a few times, busy all week and yet you aren't sure where the time went. TimeSnitch is a tool that can help give you insight into how you use your time.

TimeSnitch works by randomly popping up a dialog box that gives you an opportunity to, with minimal disruption, record what you are doing at that moment. Because the sampling is random it is hard for self deception to distort the data. Of course if you lie to the tool, well, that we can't help you with!

To use TimeSnitch just start it up and let it sit there. You can adjust the granularity to find a balance between accuracy and the annoyance of being periodically interrupted.

If you will be doing a specific activity for a fixed period of time (a meeting for example) fill in the form; set next N minutes to <activityname>".

To add detail to your weekly report you can add a note at any time by typing your note in the field next to the "Add note" button.

A report can be generated by pushing the "Reports" button, filling in the resulting form, and hitting the generate button.
